Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Scott Jones on December 18, 2003:

To Nancy and Children,

My Nancy and I are extremely shocked and grieved to here of such news about John. There is no man or couple that has had more of an impact on our lives than John and Nancy. Because of John's walk with The Lord, his obedience and sensitivity to God's mission for his life, and his concern for our souls, me and my whole family have a personal relationship with Jesus. Yes, it was John who introduced me to Jesus and a born again relationship. My wife Nancy was also led to The Lord by John's Nancy. So you see, this is a special couple to me. My life has been changed for eternity because of the love of Christ and because of John Clark cared about me. Since, all my children have become born again Christians because of what John did for me. It all started with John.
John has always been an example to all of us men and me of a man who has forsaken the world and lived for God's purposes. Wow, what a wonderful testimony. He was instrumental in teaching me how to pray, worship, and discern God's true word.
John will never be forgotten and I know I will be able to spend eternity with that fine man. What a wonderful thought.

I will always remember the great visits we had in Southern Indiana, Shakopee, Indy, and especially the surprise of being at our surprise 25th wedding anniversary party in Mt. Vernon. It all started on Winding Way in Carmel and Nancy and I have not been the same since.
John has left a huge footprint in my life and he is the best there is.

John, I know you are enjoying the fruits of your labors with our Lord and Savior. Your gain is our loss and we will miss you. It is with great joy that I know we will meet again.
