Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Steve Danforth on September 26, 2018:

I grew up in the same small town in Maine, New Sharon,as Jed did. He was many years older than me but I was good friends with his brothers Ron and Arnold.I remember how impressive it was to have a local person attending West Point, but when you are young and carefree you don't really understand the true greatness of it, or the person. I wish I had known Jed better than I did.I remember My grandparents lived in Montrose New York as my grand dad worked for the VA hospital. I believe my grand parents attended Jed's wedding at West Point because I have a picture my grand dad took of Jed walking under the sabers after the ceremony. How proud his parents and siblings must be of this man.
