Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jim O'Donnell on August 1, 2006:

I am sorry to hear this news. I was in F-1 with Jed. He was a wonderful cadet and person, a leader - our company commander for a time. It never surprised me that Jed made General; he was outstanding in every way. But most of all I remember his great winning smile, his warmth and humility, and positive, sunny outlook. That never changed, from the time he was a cadet to when I saw him last at our reunion, and is still reflected in the message he asked Dan to pass on to all of us. Jed represented the best of a very good West Point class, and will be greatly missed. I feel privileged and proud to have known him. Janet and I extend our deepest sympathy to Jed's wife, Jean, and their family.
