I still love you uncle David because love never dies. You were the best babysitter the Kelly kids ever had. I am sorry I stepped on your newly polished shoes just before we said goodbye in 1967 as you were leaving for Vietnam. I was too young to understand that you would now have to polish your shoes again. I have felt bad ever since because you didn't come back, you died over there, I never got to apologize for my mistake. You were sometimes called the gentle giant because you were so tall, but very kind. Your niece, Terri (Jeanne Bujalski Kelly is David's oldest sister and I am her daughter.) |
