| I had the great honor of being a lawyer for, and friend of, Hank's. He was a great man, an inspiration to all who knew him. I visited with him shortly before he passed. He was lying in bed asleep and I sat with him for an hour until he woke up. We talked for quite a while and true to form there was not one minute of "poor me" from Hank. It's been a few years since he passed but I think of him often. When I meet with clients who tell me their tales of woe and sorrow I often tell them my "Hank" story of a strapping young West Point graduate who walked down a boat dock in Alabama one day while one a break from helicopter training not knowing those few steps were the last ones he would ever take and his subsequent MBA and rise to a Vice President at the nations largest bank. RIP Hank. |
