Tom and I met after we both moved from the Washington D.C. area to Florida for our retirement years. We became acquainted in 2001 while living next door to each other. Our significant others required a night free from us as retirement allowed for too much togetherness. Thus, Boy's Night Out was born. Since 2002, most Thursday nights found the two of us at our favorite restaurant and watering hole. We were of different political persuasions, so some of our discussions became quite raucous! But we would happily re-engaged the following Thursday night. I will miss my friend Tom and our regular Boy's Night Out. Thursday nights will not be the same. I have been proud to call Tom my friend. |
