Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ted Rodosovich "Rodo" on August 11, 1999:

I only learned of Mike's death about ten years ago from Rick Atkinson's book, The Long Gray Line: The American Journey of the West Point Class of 1966.

As you well know, I was "found" out of the Point in February of 1962
(European History) and have only returned once - as a player during the 1963-64 football season with the Cincinnait BearCats (Army prevailed). But, I remember Mike very well and during the 1960-62 period we both lived in South Area. We also had some classes together. I especially remember how we used to post on over to the Sally Ports after a crucial exam score was published. We had a deal where Mike would look up my grade, and I would look up his. Then we would look at each other ... and let Nature take its course from there!

He was a great guy who vibrated solidness and who could be counted upon. His smile had a way of coming out from under his hat and bringing you up a few notches! I miss him and have always reflected on how Mike and I dealt with that period of Life's struggles.
