Be Thou At Peace

| Ed's generosity of spirit is what lifted so many of those who knew him or came in contact with him. It was not merely the love of life that drew people to Ed. It was what he gave to others. His family knows this best. But his West Point Classmates also benefitted from his touch. And there are so many others, as well. Being in Ed's company was special. His ability to make one laugh, even himself, helped all to forget the challenges they faced in their lives, if only for a few moments. Ed cheered everyone up, even as he was well aware of the challenges he himself faced. It is his courage and determination that I will remember, only to be exceeded by his love for others. Well done! Be thou at peace. |
