| Lt Col Gibson was my battalion commander in the 483rd Engineer Batallion. I was a young officer and I just can't say enough good things about him. He was an outstanding officer and was a tremendous role model to everyone who served under his leadership. Lt Col Gibson was a person who, in spite of his rank in the army, was very affable and could speak with privates and young officers in a very warm and approachable way. He was the person who I respected the most in my military career. |
