| In 1973, CPT Tom Carll was my first company commander: B/3-325 IN, 82d Airborne Division. What a great role model! At least two of his lieutenants went on to become generals--he set a great example for us all: Ray Drummond 71, Steve Wright 71, Jim Jackson, Lloyd Sherfey. Tom Carll was a hard charging paratroop commander--all his men loved him for that--and because we knew he really cared about us! Epitome of a leader by example. |
