Tom Carll and I served at the Mountain Ranger Camp in Dahlonega, Ga. He, along with many others were my mentors and advisors. I looked up to him as an inspirational and natural leader. Leading came naturally to him. His example encouraged me to stay in the Army as a career officer. He was always kind to me and my wife of 53 years Marcia. They got along well because they were both Texans. It pained me when he left Army service. He was my vision of a perfect Army officer and friend. We will miss him. MG George Close 571.355.5807 |
