Dear Farmelo family, I remember Gene affectionately as a fun-loving classmate who always had a ready smile and laugh. He was great to be around. I admired him for his athletic skills as well and regret not getting to know him better. We were together at Camp Buckner for yearling summer, and I count it as a blessing that we had time together.
