Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Frank Arnall on April 30, 2021:

My dear roommate and friend, what good times we shared! As cadets we not only climbed a local rock face, but also started before dawn in the 4th of July up Pike's Peek so that we could get to the top before the first of the professional auto racers. How we laughed on the last day of Spring Leave when our Delta flight was canceled and we took my family ski boat to Jax Naval Air on St Johns River so that we could fly space available on a hurricane hunter to JFK...The only spaces available were the beds for the spare crew!

How we laughed at the 50th when you presented me with a package that contained a wooden coat hanger with my name on it that you had "borrowed" more than 50 years previously.

You taught me so much about goal setting and persistence that I have had a better life because of our friendship.

Fortunately, you did use the class-funded oral history facility to share some of your Army experience and leadership lessons learned, and you had so much more to offer.

The 55+1 will not be the personal reunion event we expected, but you will never be far from our thoughts and prayers.
