You have left us too soon, Bruce. I regret that I had not known you but in passing until that day we met in a fast food restaurant while killing time before the wonderful memorial service for Gene Farmelo. That said, it was like we had been bunkmates and served together these many years since we graduated in Michie Stadium. Then it happened again on our mini-reunion trip to Ireland where you and Jane lighted up our entourage and regaled us with stories of climbing every peak you could find. Then you taught us (me?) how to use my iPhone camera to capture great panoramas and shots of our classmates and spouses. Your exploits and love of the outdoors, whether hiking or biking, were and are a great inspiration. I look forward to meeting you again on the other side. |
