My fondest memory of Bo occurred several years ago on a golf course in N. Myrtle Beach, SC with 50 or so of his USMA '65 Classmates. Mid-round, Bo had to stop golfing due to severe pain in his foot from a bout with gout. He headed straight to the nearest Emergency Room where the female doc attending there told him to "Drop your drawers and bend over." Bo complied (like a good soldier) and the doc injected him with TWO shots of some magic serum that took away the pain and let him return to the Hospitality Room where he regaled us with his affliction and magic cure. What a guy! He will be missed. |
