Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Roger W. Frydrychowski on June 9, 2011:

I remember Frank O'Brien ("OB") as having served our Class for four years on the Hop and Activities Committee. We all know how valuable any "free time" was to each of us as cadets. OB gave of his valuable study time and free time to help make Class events the memorable occasions they were. During Plebe Christmas, while classmates were out enjoying freedom, OB would be in the gym hanging crepe paper and putting out chairs and tables. Camp Buckner events, the Ring Hop, 500th Night, First Class Trip activities and the dances didn't just happen. OB gave of his spare time to help make the events happen and the evenings fun for all in the Class. All through his four years, OB was one of the first to volunteer and never once stepped back from his responsibilities to the Class. He honestly enjoyed the giving of his time knowing that he helped to make our time at the Academy more bearable.
