Don was so much more than a classmate. He was a superb officer, dad, husband, friend and southern gentleman. I count him as one of the finest of our group and was blessed to be his friend for over 50 years. In the last few years he and Carol wintered in The Villages, giving us many days of golfing, story telling breakfasts at Dunkin Donuts, our monthly Fat Boys breakfast at the Legion, and luncheons with the WP Society of the Villages. His strong faith and courage were and will always be an inspiration to all of us as we battle health issues and the other issues that arise. He now rests in the arms of His Lord and we will meet again for all eternity. A life well led by a good and faithful man. Rest in Peace, my brother. |
