Mike and I were roommates part of Firstie year. We had a lot of fun, as our room was right beside the sallyport where the Hellcats played Reveille, and we had a window which opened onto the sallyport. Once we put a phonograph next to the window and turned it up loud, played a record just as the Hellcats started reveille. Mike was a good student, a fun roommate and a good friend. I have many good memories from our time together in H-2, especially that final year. Very sorry to learn of his passing, all too soon. Preston Hughes |
