Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ken Yoshitani on September 3, 2009:

I did not know Denny well as a cadet. He was in another company, in another battalion, and in a far away regiment. I did know that he was a good football player. I regret that I knew him so little as a cadet.

After we departed from West Point to pursue our careers, I became familiar through many different means of Denny's generosity and his love and support for everything about West Point. He was blessed with a wonderful marriage and a big family. He was a successful professional who also contributed so much to the community. I regret that I did not have many opportunities to celebrate his accomplishments as a husband, father, businessman, and community contributor.

I also regret that Denny joined the Long Grey Line much too young. He could have and would have contributed much more to the community, and he could have and would have enjoyed his life much longer.

Well done, Denny, be thou at peace.

Ken
