Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ricardo L. Parks on May 27, 2017:

I knew Frank Rybicki when he and I attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school in Balboa, Panama Canal Zone. He was always a very popular guy, athletic and musically gifted. About the opposite of me, I guess. After grade school graduation in 1958, Frank went on to Balboa High School while my Air Force Father, a staunch Catholic stationed at Albrook Air Force Base, wouldn't allow me to go to BHS but rather convinced the Maryknoll sisters of the Colegio San Vicente (St. Vincent High School) in Panama City, Panama, to allow me to register with CSV which technically wasn't allowed because they were there as missionary teaching sisters for Panamanian students. I wasn't aware of Frank dying in Vietnam until many years after the fact. Frank, May God Bless You. I think of you often. I am Major Ricardo L. Parks, Regular United States Air Force (Retired in 1993).
