My vivid memories of Allen Culpepper stem from my being a Plebe at West Point when he was a Firstie. We were both from Louisiana, so I naturally looked to him as a mentor from my home state. Allen always seemed instrumental in coordinating such things as our Louisiana Air National Guard flights home for Christmas leave. He was outstanding in that regard. He always seemed bigger than life. It was certainly a dismaying event to learn of his death. May he be "bigger than Life" in the Hereafter. Bill Ward, '69 ward69@aol.com |
