Walter Stanley Piskun

West Point, 1966

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Dick Murray on August 4, 2013:

Walt Piskun personified the greatness of the human being and its enduring spirit. He was the genuine article. A guy who never quit and a guy who gave a damn about others. For sure Walt had an easygoing demeanor, but underneath that exterior veneer rested the heart and mind of a man's man. The one thing you always knew about Walt was that when the chips were down, Walt would be there for you. To promote the thought that Walt was brilliant and extraordinarily competent misses the point of Walt's life. He was a man all about others and all about assisting the downtrodden and needy. He gave of himself for the betterment of mankind and for that we all owe him greatly. Walt is sincerely missed, but his spirit endures in all of those who were so blessed to have known him. May you rest peacefully in your eternal home, for your work here was done well. God Bless you Walt.
