Be Thou At Peace

| I had the pleasure of being a member of the last West Point class BG Winkel taught. I never had a more memorable, or dedicated instructor than BG Winkel. Although the course material was rigorous and incredibly difficult to understand, BG Winkel never ceased to help each and every one of us grasp the concepts that made up his course. As an instructor, he inspired in each of us an intense desire to learn and apply ourselves academically, and as a leader he inspired each of us as cadets to grow into steadfast officers. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work and learn under him, and my prayers go out to his family. Be thou at peace, Sir. |
