| Rich was one of the reasons that I would repeat almost all of the days we spent together as cadets. There were a few that aren't worth repeating, but only a few. Rich could always be counted on to add humor and a sense of optimism to an otherwise dreary circumstance. I, too, roomed with Steve Herman, and you would think that some of Steve's smarts would have rubbed off on us. Maybe on Rich, but I'm still searching. When I think of our times together, it brings a smile to my face. My confident expectation for you, Lorannie, is that your 45 years of memories with him will bring you many smiles and great joy. |
