I met Paul when he joined our infantry company in the 1/327 Infantry Battalion, First Brigade, 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. I was a young company commander at the time and was impressed with Paul from the first time I met him. He joined us before we went back out to the field around Fire Support Base Veghel. Paul wanted so much to do well as an officer - and he surely did! He was admired and respected by all. Well done, Paul. Be thou at peace. |
