| I served with Lt. Sawtelle in "L" Company Rangers with the 101st Airborne Division (1970-71). He was one of the finest officers I ever met and was well-respected in our company by all the Rangers. His loss was particularly hard on all of us during those trying times. He will always be remembered by those he served with in our company--and he will always be in our thoughts and prayers. |
