Be Thou At Peace

Posted by William Tome on April 4, 2015:

Bill was a classmate and a fellow B3 Bandit. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. Bill was from Arizona, and had more than a few drops of Hispanic blood in him, of which he was quietly proud. I remember him so well because during Christmas Break of our Plebe year (when Plebes even HAVING a Christmas Break "hair-lipped" our more senior fellow cadets), Billy came home with me to Pennsylvania for the break. I guess that AZ was just too far or maybe the prospect of spending Christmas with his freely imbibing friend just too tempting. In any case I was greatly saddened to hear of his death in VN; but I am certain that he laid down his life as he had led it - with Honor and Courage. Rest in peace Billy - see you on the other side my friend!
