I met Marshall at ranger school in September 1970. he was my ranger buddy during the Florida phase. He was from Brenham and I from San Antonio. Brenham is famous for Blue Bell ice cream. We ate a lot of ice cream after ranger and waiting to be released. I was shocked to have my 1971 Christmas card returned as Casualty Mail. In 1993 I became an assistant DA in Brenham. He was much loved there. They let the entire high school attend his funeral. A wonderful guy; a sad deal. Bill Torrey Milam County DA Cameron, Texas |
