I was very deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing at so young an age. We served together at AFPD New York during 73-74. He was a great friend and fine military police officer. He was like a guidance counselor to the lieutenants especially in organizing forays into Greenwich Village (McSorley's), Brooklyn Heights,Yorkville and Times Square. Mike was the adjutant in a very colorful joint service unit that had a multiplicity of off post missions throughout the NY metro area. He was a steadying force, mentor and leader for all of us including his superiors. May he rest in peace. |
