| I originally met Pat and his wife while stationed at Fort Jackson,SC in 1974. Although the exigencies of military life were such that we were only stationed together for a short time, Pat and his wife (whose name the years have taken from my memory) were good friends to a brand new and newly married Second Lieutenant. Pat was invariably cheerful and always an example to this younger officer. I always hoped to meet up with him again which is how I only now learned of his passing. A good friend and a good soldier. |
