| If I had one friend in I-2, it was Howie. He was always there as a friend with that perpetual smile that was his signature. I have been amazed over the years how timeless that face and smile have been; he was untouched by time. He and Paula were friends to me and Cindy and they were the perfect couple and so much fun to be around. I deeply regret having lost touch with the two of them over these many years but, then, that has been the rule for me for all of my classmates. I should have made the exception for Howie and Paula since they so close during our time at the Academy. It was good seeing them at the last reunion and we so hopefully wished to see them again at the next. He was a good friend and I have never known a more selfless soul in my life. He will truly be missed. |
