Be Thou At Peace

Posted by jody heitman on May 4, 2005:

I read today the beautiful obit from this gentlemans wife and children.
I cried for them, I cried for my loss.
Suicide has it own grief.

December 7, 1953 to May 4, 2002

I can't believe it's been three years since you left us. The horror of May 4 will stay with me for the rest of my life. I doubt I will ever be able to sleep through the night ever again. I would give anything to have just five minutes with you to ask "why?" It doesn't make any sense. I wish you believed in yourself the way the kids and I believed in you. You were such an incredible person and we were so fortunate to have you in our lives. I miss your goofy sense of humor. You were truly my best friend. Kevin - the Red Sox finally won the World Series. That would have made you so happy. Thank you for the gift of my beautiful children, Ryan and Gabrielle. They are truly my greatest blessings. I hope you can look down on us and know that we are all doing well. Kevin, I hope you are resting well and are finally at peace. You will never be forgotten. With Love S.D.A.
Dad,
I can't believe that it's been three years since I last saw you. I miss you so much. You were not only the greatest dad in the world, but the greatest friend, as well. I think about you every single day and I can't wait until I can see you again. I Love You! Gabby "G"
