Be Thou At Peace

Eddie was my first love. I met him in Science class in September of 1969. He told his friends he was sitting next to a "witch" because I had my hair teased and wore black eyeliner. Within a couple of weeks, my hair was flat, the eyeliner was gone, and Eddie and I were a couple. Everyone loved Eddie. He was the type of guy every parent wants their daughter to bring home. My freshmen year in high school was one of the best years of my life thanks to Eddie. He still holds a very special place in my heart and always will. Edz, I have prayed for you and those you left behind since the day I heard of your death. I have to believe that you are at peace. I miss you. Love, Maureen |
