Be Thou At Peace

It was thirty-five years ago when I met Jody Fink. He was a NEW Signal Officer at Fort Polk and seemed to spend some portion of every day harassing his battalion commander's secretary. My paper clips were never safe from his mischief! He always had a good natured sparkle in his eye and a warm smile on his face. One could always depend upon him for a good laugh. He was like a brother to those he cared for and took the time to make us all feel as if we were a part of his special circle. Time, distance and the circumstances of life separate friends so I have only recently learned of the passing of this fine man. He is in a far better place where he is healthy and watching over all of those who he loves. May God's blessings be with his family. |
