Be Thou At Peace

| One of the most difficult leadership challenges presented at West Point is that of Peer Leadership. It is not easy to command the respect of your comrades when there is no formal leadership designation. Dick was one of those rare individuals in our class who didn't need rank or position to gain the admiration of his colleagues. He possessed those rare and difficult-to-define traits that, with his presence and calm demeanor, made others gravitate to him. He was a leader of men for his entire adult life and will be sorely missed. Be thou at peace, brother. |
