Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Wanda (South) Rhodes on August 14, 2012:

I am so blessed and honored to say that I knew and loved Billy Dean "Deanie" Hubbard for a lifetime. We started to school together in the first grade and graduated high school together in 1974. He was one of the finest human beings I have ever known. His smile and personality were contagious and both were truly his trademarks. I can still see those deep dimples when he laughed. Three weeks after our 10-year class reunion in June 1984 (which Billy attended), I heard the news that Billy had died in a plane crash. My spirit was crushed and, to this day, it's so hard to realize that his beautiful face won't show up at our next reunion. Rest in peace, Billy. I, along with the entire BHS Class of '74, will never let your memory die. I think of you often, and we talk about you every time we get together. Love you Big Guy and miss you so very much. Keep a watch over your classmates:):)
