| I attended the memorial service at West Point today for Brian. I am awestruck and humbled by the greatness of our classmate. I did not know Brian well as a cadet or his wife Jane. Nevertheless, I took the day off and drove to West Point to pay my respect to a great man. Brian's accomplishments for our country exceed the highest level of national service. In this current war, the great efforts of our officers and leaders have been camouflaged by politics. Clearly, he would have been promoted to BG and eventually become the Surgeon General. The legacy of his courage, bravery and selfless leadership can only remind each of us of how lucky we were to have known him and served with him. God Bless you Brian, Jane and Wyatt! Rest in Peace knowing that you served your country and God in the most exceptional manner! |
