| I was down the street in Saudi the day Tommie was killed, but it took a call from my mother in the States to inform me that the accident I passed was Tommie's. To think that I used to drive him around in my car and get annoyed because he was so afraid of driving. I will remember him as a gentle soul, a brilliant artist and a loving friend with whom I spent so many hours dreaming about touring Africa. We never did get there, Tommie. "To rose-lipped maidens and lightfoot lads." To forget him would be impossible. |
