Leighton, almost 20 years have passed since you left. I miss you, one day at a time. Tears still often and unexpectedly spill from my eyes, roll past a clenched jaw, and drip from a trembling chin. Part of me left with you. The part of you that remains in my heart inspires me when nothing else will. I give that to others at every opportunity so they may know you, too. You showed me much about the love of a friend and brother. Rest in peace. |
