Sid, Your boundless energy and optimism offered evidence enough to overturn fundamental laws of thermodynamics, conservation of energy, the containment criteria, and all such nonsense. Your lofty spirit was always a beacon to me, beginning in our squad on R-day. You were an ideal running mate, and friend. Will we ever know who was pulling whom on those glorious Sunday morning post circuits in plebe and yearling years? It is fitting that I can only remember the sunny ones! The miles and the motion seemed effortless, even invigorating, like a ride on a rocketship while listening to you banter away. West Point could never contain your enthusiasm. My friend, I pray that you have found eternal rest and peace, and that we will run again one day. Bill
