Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Cliff Mainor on November 7, 2016:

Marc "Bigun" Taylor

Bigger than life itself, that was Marc. His approach to everything was, "Hey, no sweat, we got this." And his positive attitude was infectious to all around him. His jovial spirit and no-nonsense approach to things that mattered endeared Marc to everyone who ever had the pleasure of spending time with him.

Ever the fitness-buff in his ongoing triathalon endeavors, Marc always EARNED his beer tasting sessions, where he was a true connoisseur. I always enjoyed seeing a Facebook post from Marc showing his latest dining and tasting excursions, living vicariously through his posts.

Marc was always on target with his support for the Second Amendment, and he never missed an opportunity to hone his marksmanship skills in order to be the best, responsible firearms owner he could be. I respected his wilingness to put it out there, and encourage others to exercise their right to bear arms responsibly.

Unfortunately, I did not get to spend much time with Marc outside of the Academy. We'd planned to get together several times, yet fell short in connecting in person. I do look forward to seeing Marc when I get to heaven as we bask in the glory of our Lord. Until then, Marc, make sure you get all the angels in shape up there and we'll hit the clouds running.

I pray God's blessings of peace and comfort over the family members affected by Marc's passing. I mourn your loss and pray for your healing. God bless you all.

Go Gators!
Courage Never Quits.
