Bob and I were company mates in B-1, and I remember him fondly as a friend and great person to know. We shared the Pasadena Army-Navy game together, being posted to the same family, and first got to be good friends then. Although a year apart I found Bob to be a wise person who shared of himself for his friends, and although we hadn't seen each other in years I felt saddened to hear of his passing.
