Be Thou At Peace

| I had the pleasure of working as the Olson's nanny at West Point. Our relationship was not like your normal boss-employee, it was special. The Olson's treated me like a family member. For the two years I that I cared for Brittany and TJ I saw something remarkable...it was a family who worked together as a team, all putting in 150%. I did not know Rob the soldier, or TAC, I knew Rob the caring husband and father. I remember thinking how I could only hope my future husband would be just like Rob. The way he cared for his family was beautiful, and all he did for them was admirable.When the Olson's left for KS, it was like saying goodbye to my own family.My heart is breaking right now,and I am remember all the fun we shared: my first Army Navy game and tailgate party shared w/ the family,and summer nights hanging out in the backyard. I will never forget you Rob, you opened my eyes to a whole new level of a partnership in marriage, and the strength of a caring father. |
