Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Pete Dunn on July 4, 2002:

Like so many West Point Cadets, Frank was just blast to hang out with. I recall having a few classes with Frank and hoisting a few beers with him from time to time, as well. Regardless of the situation, Frank was just plain old good company.

What sticks out most in my mind about Frank is that I never ever heard him make a disparaging remark about anyone. Given our sometimes negative moods as cadets, I'd say that's a remarkable trait Frank had. Instead, I remember Frank's contagious smile and great sense of humor.

I wish I could remember more specific memories of Frank, but it's been quite a few years since our paths last crossed. Nevertheless, anyone who knew Frank on any level should consider themselves lucky, as good guys like him don't come around too often.

Here's to you Frank! I will ensure the boys from F-4 hoist one in your honor.
