This afternoon, I found out that my dear classmate, friend, and roommate passed away. As I write this eulogy, hundreds of great memories are flashing through my mind, and every memory has John's contagious smile. It seems like it was just yesterday when I ran into John at the Dragon Hill Hotel in Korea. Being John's roommate meant that I was also Trudy's roommate. I was very fortunate to be around two people very much in love. John, I'm definitely a better person for having known you. If you get the chance to surf the web while you're up in Heaven, you'll see how many lives you touched during your life. Thanks for your service to our nation and thanks for your friendship. I'm sure that we'll run into each other again - Be Thou at Peace. 'Gerbil' |
