Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Marissa Baxter(Schiller) on May 2, 2021:

Jim you were my best friend and when I heard about your journey home I was comforted knowing you left this world doing what you loved best, helping others. You gave me a birthday present that I never received- a tandem jump from a plane; you made me feel that I could do anything, you made me feel brave and you made me feel like the only person in the room. Some thought you were at diving practice all those Tuesdays and Thursdays but you were with me and my family, skipping practice. You were invited to my wedding but you had to serve your country- of course I gave you a "hall pass!" You are the most amazing person I have ever met and I am a better person having known you. I miss my best friend as does everyone else who has signed this page. You leave behind people that love and cherish the time they had with you, wishing they had more but grateful to have know you. I wish to all who knew you peace and comfort.
