I just learned of the existence of this eulogy and I wanted to add my comments because I knew Brian at OU after he had been in combat in Somalia. When he was featured in the book "Doorway To Hell: Disaster in Somalia." it didn't tell everything about Brian. Those of us who knew him later were absolutely convinced that he was singularly the most impressive personality in the Class of 2000 at the University of Oklahoma Law School. He didn't graduate at the top of his class but he did graduate with honors and as an editor of Law Review. At 6'5" and with movie star looks, everyone in the class KNEW we would see him on the bench, in the legislature or in Congress some day. It is a real loss to our state and to the nation that he never got the chance to run. He would have made history. All who ever knew him will remember him. |
