I served with Brian in the 43rd Engineer Battalion and saw him often in the battalion operations center. From the viewpoint of an NCO, Brian stood out as a remarkable officer. He was the go-to guy for any computer problems. I remember him responding like a surgeon to the newest PC crisis. If the problem was truly dire he would hook up multiple lap tops to the stricken computer, his fingers flew from keyboard to keyboard with uncanny speed. I felt like mopping his brow during the procedure. I can?t help but feel that, except for his tragic death, I could have one day said, ?Hey, I knew him when he was a Lieutenant.? I?m sure he is fixing problems in a better place. dhs hubert |
