| I went to the Infantry Advance Course and Special Forces Selection the same time as Bear. He always had a presence. I will not forgot a story he told me of him as a new Lieutenant in Germany and how his platoon of men got to "know him" in the motor pool for indoctrination. I do believe from his account they underestimated his strength and perseverance =) After my second Iraq deployment, was reassigned to the Pentagon. I distinctly remember a little over a year ago being in the Belvoir PX food court and seeing his picture on the news. I am not sure why his story was being discussed, but was shocked to learn of him being gone. His daughters will always know that a brave man was on point for this Nation more than once and showed the world what bravery looks like. In peace brother. |
