| The loss Of Mark Paine will greatly affect those who knew him. He was a great friend, but an even greater man. I grew up with the Paines and I knew that greatness was going to be his. He loved the army ever since I can remember and told me his brother would be president one day and he would head up the army. He was so proud of the accomplishments of his father and he knew the day would come when he would join the ranks of the military. I still remember the night when he found out he got accepted to West Point. He went out to celebrate with his family and his girlfriend Amy, came home, and the two of us snuck glasses of brandy while he discussed his future. I will always miss my friend Mark and I hope one day I will become half the man that he was. I love you Mark Christopher Paine, you did this country proud, your family proud, and you did me proud! |
